Hunting at Cheasas Peak Game Lodge
Cheasas Peak Game Lodge is a game ranch, 60 km from Bloemfontein and 75 km from Kimberley, and has been in existence since 1993. It offers dense woodland and grassy plains on one farm, ensuring a challenging, but interesting hunt. Wild olive, karee, suurkaree, and thorn trees are some of the more common trees, while several other types are also present. There is also a large variety of birds such as owls, hawks, secretary birds, bluegill birds, various waterfowl and many others.

Where can I start, from the beginning me and Delan had good communication about what we want to hunt and the availability of the animals. Delan really went above and beyond for us on this hunting trip! Firstly we asked to come in off season where he was more than willing to help us out. Delan and his wife gave us permission to bring our hunting dog aswell as two of our fur kids(that was amazing) , never have I experienced a warmer welcome than when we arrived at Cheasas Peak! As expected and delivered Delan and I had a good conversation about our hunt before we set out on our first drive we made a quick turn at the shooting range after that the amazing experience started! We saw the most beautiful game and healthy herds of them as well. Needles to say we got the game we wanted from our hunt and more! . Delan and his crew really did everything to create the most beautiful memory of my hunting career so far with my Kudu Bull hunt..!!! 10/10 after all the amazing hunting we did everyday we where greeted with a aroma that hit our noses as soon as we got of the bakkie, food! .. The deliciousness factor was of the charts.. All in all we had a wonderful hunt and can't wait for our next one with Cheasas Peak Lodge!
Awesome lodge with friendly staff. Had a hunting trip at Cheasas Peak and i can definitely recommend them. Emily keeps the lodge clean and tidy every day. The animals are in a pristine condition on this property. I can highly recommend Cheasas Peak to hunters who is after a seriously good hunting spot. Will return there in the near future.
My first visit to Cheasaspeak from 8-11 February 2024, it was an experience that will be remembered for a long time. Host was very friendly professional and made us feel at home. Accommodation I would give 3 ⭐⭐⭐ and meals were restaurant quality. Didn't have a big quota of goats to hunt but hunted 6 goats in less than 1.5 sessions, the carcasses were neatly butchered and clean. If there is another opportunity and opening I will definitely go and can strongly recommend the hunting destination

We booked in February for June from June we have postponed due to my father having a brain tumor we went on postponing for about four time becoz of my father being in and out the hospital for operation after turning around by the dead by our LORDS hands we made it to the hunting outside hunting season.
We had Thabiso driving us around every day on the farm looking for the right animal to hunt and sat with us till we got them.
Thabiso u a great guy.

This is a awesome Game Fame with a lot of Game. We went for the long weekend and experienced so much! It was a GOOD weekend! Staff was very professional and friendly. Our Hosts Delan and Adrien’s warm and friendly hospitality made us feel at home. Food was 5star good and the unit that we stayed in was beautiful. I can recommend this lodge for sure.
Wonderful venue and hunting lodge. Beautiful little church, conference room and great accommodation. Superb food is served in the boma or dining room. Very reasonable prices. Manager goes beyond call of duty to make your stay a memorable one. Only 60km from Bloemfontein.
Hunt from a vehicle, or on foot..
We make use of vehicles, but hunters can also search for “the big ones” on foot. We find that hunters who hunt on foot get better results than those who only use vehicles.
There are four hunting vehicles available, and these are included in the day fees. Guides, who know the farm and movement of the animals, are also available to ensure quotas are reached.
Variety of Species
There are a variety of species available for hunting, but focus is placed on offering affordable species such as blesbok, black wildebeest, blue wildebeest and waterbuck. Species such as eland, gemsbok, kudu, roans, sables and deer may be provided upon special request. So, hunters can plan and enjoy their own hunt, should they want to go more exotic.
Different groups, from corporate, friends, to even family groups use Cheasas Peak annually for their hunts, and come back repeatedly.
